More tablet practice. This was completely from scratch, no sketch lines, with just a photo for reference. The likeness isn't great, but I'm still rather pleased with it

Whenever I attempt to do a portrait it never looks photographic, because the sign of a real artist is that you put your own vision in everything that you do you make it your own somehow. I always liked the results even if they weren't anything like the original picture that inspired me. This one is Gorgeous and very emotive. Think of it like this too... If a cover band attempts to cover a really beautiful song it's only good if they make it their own. My fav example is 311's cover of The Cure's "Lovesong." You may not agree but whatever. I love your art.!!!
