Space Cowboy's Day Off

Figured I'd do something special for my 500th contribution to this site. (That total includes my journals and polls, too - the actual number of images I have here is a good deal less than five hundred, but what the hell!)

Cowboy Bebop is probably my favourite anime series ever, and the fact that I had never done any proper fanart (besides the odd Faye) was a crime worthy of a hefty bounty. Until I drew this, I was totally unaware that Spike had green hair - to my colourblind eyes, it always looked brown. Thank god for the eyedropper tool in Photoshop

For anyone unfamiliar with this brilliant show, the characters are (L-R):
Jet Black - an ex-cop turned bounty hunter.
Spike Spiegel - former criminal enforcer, also turned bounty hunter.
Faye Valentine - con-woman extraordinaire and compulsive gambler, she now hunts bounties with Jet and Spike, often much to their chagrin.
Ed (Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV) - genius hacker prodigy and generally eccentric 13-year old girl.
Ein the data-dog - a super-intelligent Welsh Corgi.

Just to clarify, they're hanging out in a bounty hunters' bar, and the vidscreen behind them scrolls various available bounties - at a measly W500k, I'm probably not worth their time
